Most people don't pay a premium for Part A (hospital insurance) if they have worked and paid Medicare taxes long enough. Part B (medical insurance) and most Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Prescription Drug plans do have monthly premiums.
Yes, as long as your doctor accepts Medicare. If you choose a Medicare Advantage plan, check that your doctor is in that plan's network.
You many be able to delay signing up for Part B (and avoid penalties) if you have creditable employer health coverage. When that coverage ends, you'll get a Special Enrollment Period to sign-up.
Not under Original Medicare health care alone. You'll need a Part D Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) that includes drug coverage.
Nothing extra. You pay the same for a Medicare plan whether you enroll on your own or through an agent. The difference is that a licensed insurance agent helps you compare options and makes the process easier. licensed insurance agents receive a commission from a private insurance company.
